What's a sample sale?

When designers sell their collections to boutiques and stores, they produce a set of samples before they make their entire collection. Sample sales started out as a way to sell these samples at heavily discounted prices, giving saavy shoppers a chance to get great labels at sensible prices. Now sample sales also include last season's stock, giving you an even wider range of discounted designer pieces!

What's this all about?

All the big outerwear fashion designers have sample sales, so why not designer lingerie too? Knickers, the lingerie weblog has brought together all of their favourite designers under one roof, and is selling their amazing designs for at least 50% off. The sale is in Edinburgh, Scotland, and we've got goodies for everyone from an A to a F-cup, and are staging a lingerie catwalk show to show off our favourite pieces!

Best of all, the sale is part of a Breast Cancer Charity Event, and we'll be donating to a local hospital to help buy detection equipment

The sale is one day only, so mark your calendars for Thursday, 23rd November!

So is this like, a big deal?

Definitely! We've got designers from all over the world sending stock, things you just can't find on the high street. This isn't your red-candy-hearts knickers, this is beautiful, opulent lingerie.

When is it?

The sample sale is on 23rd November, 2006 from noon till midnight.

The catwalk show is at 11:30 p.m., doors open for the Madge v. Kylie party thrown by the Cabaret Voltaire at 10:30 p.m.

Where is it?

What sort of discounts can I expect?

Everything will be at least half off, and we have some stock with amazing markdowns - like an £80 bra down to £15! We'll keep you updated as we recieve all the stock!

Will you have my size?

Probably! We have cup sizes A-F, back sizes 30-40, and knickers/camisoles/loungewear in everything from XS to XL.

Is there a door entry?

Yes, £3.00 -- half goes to breast cancer charity!

Who are you and why are you organising this?

The sample sale is being organised by Knickers, the lingerie weblog. Named as one of the "Top 50 British Blogs" by .net magazine, Knickers was created by Danae Shell, a Tennessee girl who moved to Edinburgh and fell in love with European lingerie. She started Knickers as a resource for women to learn about bra-sizing, new lingerie collections, and to find fabulous sales and discounts. This sample sale is Danae's way of sharing her favourite lingerie designers with everyone else -- and to give some great discounts too! You can read all about Knickers at www.knickersblog.com
